Easy Resolutions For The New Year

A new decade calls for a new attitude! Start the year fresh by resolving to become your best self. But you don’t have to do it alone. We’re here to help you reach all of your resolutions and develop a new peace of mind. Here are some helpful tips on how to make (and keep!) easy resolutions for the new year.

Pamper Yourself

Let’s just say we’re experts at unwinding. Step 1: put down the phone. Step 2: open the curtains. Step 3: relax. Although taking time for yourself may not be at the top of your resolutions list, it’s probably the most important thing you can do to get your new year off on the right foot. Start each day with a cup of tea (hint: our Blue Bay collection is an instant mood lifter!) and some quiet meditation. You can even begin a gratitude journal and list one aspect of your life that you’re grateful for each day. It will do wonders for your mind and help you appreciate the little things!

Cut Out The Clutter

Your kitchen could use a bit of spring cleaning (and we’re not talking about mopping!) Maximize the space on your shelf and counter by going compact with your dinnerware. Enter: Luna. Our contemporary new nesting set hides six bowls and two plates inside so you have an entire dinnerware set in one compact piece. Enjoy dinners-for-two or Saturday night snacks with friends. Each plate and bowl is microwave and dishwasher safe and the sleek, stylish design makes it a great conversation centerpiece for your kitchen shelf or dining room table!

 Start A Garden

There’s a lot to be said about watching something grow before your eyes. Planting an indoor herb garden is a fun and easy way to get your green thumb going. The new trend is flipping your teacups and mugs into clever little planters to give your herbs some style. We used our new Sprig & Vine collection as the captivating (and colorful!) base for rosemary, sage, thyme, mint and parsley. It’s the perfect resolution for those who want to feel a great sense of accomplishment

Take Up A Hobby

Now’s the time to add a superlative to your name. “Best Chef” sounds pretty good to us… Whether it’s cooking, playing an instrument or learning a new language, a hobby always makes you feel more fulfilled in life. You can even try something as simple as becoming the Mom who makes the most delicious blueberry pancakes! Just don’t forget your French Perle bakeware...

Spend Time Together

Break out of winter hibernation and enjoy quality time with your friends and family. Gather around the dinner table (or kitchen counter, living room floor—whatever works!), turn off the TV and talk to one another. Get creative with themed dinners from around the world. You can focus on French cuisine one night, order Chinese takeout the next week and have spaghetti and meatballs the following week. For our dinner, we took the French theme to the max by using our new, everyday Profile collection to serve delicious crepes by the Eiffel Tower. Bonus tip: add little fun facts about the location you’re touring on the table. It’s a great way to start a conversation and encourage people to have fun!

We hope your new year is fulfilling, inspiring and all-around wonderful. Here’s to a great 2020!
