How to Make Valentine’s Day At Home Special

We are determined to make 2021 a year filled with happiness, laughter and, most importantly, love. With Valentine’s Day creeping up on us and date night options remaining limited, we decided to compile our favorite at-home date ideas to get you started. Being stuck at home allows us to be more thoughtful and creative. And at the end of the day, all you need is your significant other or best gal pals in order to have a great Valentine’s Day. Check out four ways to celebrate the day of love at home below.

Indoor Fort Picnic Date

There’s nothing quite like being fun and silly with your best friend. Embrace your inner child and celebrate Valentine’s Day in a fort! Drape sheets and blankets around furniture to start. Get them to stay all day with chip clips or safety pins. Make the space as comfy as possible by stealing pillows and cushions from around the house! Finally, add string lights or paper lanterns to brighten up the space and make your fort one of a kind. Now what? Have a picnic! We brought in some of our favorite Sprig & Vine pieces, poured two glasses of rosé and started binge-watching our favorite Netflix show.

Future Vacation Planning

2020 was the year of cancelled getaways, vacations and honeymoons. So, it’s time to start looking forward to days of travelling again! Get excited for what’s ahead and use Valentine’s Day to plan an entire date around it. Create the itinerary of your dreams while munching on food from anywhere in the world. The Mini Luna Nesting Set is perfect for any spread. Here are some ideas to get you started: Egypt and hummus, Paris and macaroons or Cancún and a taco night!

DIY Wine Tasting

Wine tasting is a great date idea and especially easy to do from the comforts of your own home. Grab the red, white and rosé of your choice and three Tuscany Classics wine glasses each. Get into the tasting, sharing your thoughts on everything from clarity and brightness to intensity, body and scent. Snack while you sip or cook a meal that pairs well with your favorite of the three wines! This is a romantic date idea for your sweetheart or a fun activity to do with friends.

Virtual Galentine’s Party

Calling all single ladies! What would Beyoncé do if she was single on Valentine’s Day? Host the Galentine’s party of our dreams! Your best friends are soulmates in a way. Choose a fun beverage like the Berry Happy Galentine’s Cocktail, gather the supplies ahead of time and mix them up together over Zoom. A virtual Galentine’s party is a fun way to celebrate at home with some of your favorite people.
