Butterfly Meadow Bunny Covered Butter Dish

I bought this butter dish to match the rest of my Butterfly Meadow collection. So happy I did because it’s beautiful and it is used everyday. It has a nice sized bottom tray for your butter and the top nests inside a small rim in the tray. It does require special care so not damage the precious bunny on top. It is easy to grasp when picking up the lid and easy to clean. I recommend hand washing. Love it!

Looks nice but

1) Too small

2) thin material

3) no paint on the edges of the cover, and there are black dots on the edge, looks like a manufacturing defect

I've been buying Butterfly Meadows for 25 years, and I love it! In regards to this butter dish, I like the design -- it's utterly charming -- and the size and design work great for us. However, the insert says I cannot wash in the dishwasher, and honestly, I would not have ordered if I realized that. The Butterfly Meadows butter dishes I own now have been in the dishwasher innumerable times -- were they also supposedly "hand wash only?" In short, I don't how how to rate this: 5 stars for looks; 3 stars for functionality?

I ordered online and did not realize how small the size was. I ended up returning it because standard size butter would not fit

I received my bonny butter dish and absolutely love it! The bunny is so precious on the top of the butter dish cover. I've had the butterfly on top of a butter dish as well, but the wings keep getting broke off. I thought the bunny would be more sturdy and wouldn't get broke. I have just about any and every piece of the Butterfly Meadow pattern and use them everyday. I entertain a lot and have received lots of compliments on my dinnerware. Thanks Lenox for adding new pieces to this line.
